Natural disasters come inevitably and the best way to be prepared for any kind is to have a survival kit and first aid supplies packed in advance.

What do you need in an emergency kit?

  • Essentials- water bottles, non-perishable food, energy bars, warm clothes, blankets.
  • Medical supplies- prescription medication, personal toiletries, thermometer.
  • Tools- flashlight and batteries, battery-powered radio, waste bags, leather, and latex gloves, clock or watch, candles, matches, multifunctional knives, pen and paper, duct tape, spare disposable phone.
  • Documents- personal documents, family photographs for identification purposes, cash and small change, map of the local area, copies of insurance policies, copies of birth certificates, important phone numbers.

What items to include in a first aid kit?

gauze pads and rolls, soap, burn ointment, antibiotic ointment, bandages in a variety of sizes, pain relievers( ibuprofen, cortizone, tylenol, antihistamine) scissors, and tweezers.

Emergency kit storage
